On February 28, Dr. Larry Ringgenberg provided a tour of UWL's new student union for Sierra Club members and friends. The tour focussed specifically on the many sustainable features and processes incorporated in the design. At the time, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) status of the new building had yet to be determined.
According to a recent La Crosse Tribune story, the building has earned LEED gold!
